Colours mean different things to different people at the same time, and when colour shifts it simultaneously transforms its meaning. With this in mind, I investigated materials that could transform colours, allowing colours to change from one hue to another to reflect the shifting state of emotions. I came across dichroic film that could be fixed onto acrylic. This dichroic film shifts colour when viewed from different perspectives. This transient colour, combined with the moving shapes of the mobiles, creates a liminal experience where one experiences constant colour change, evoking an always evolving state of transition from one emotion to the next. Perspective and emotion are bound together as colour reflects and bounces off walls and proximate objects and viewer(s), creating an all-encompassing experience for the map viewer. Not only does one experience this liminal emotion map while moving around it, but the map itself simultaneously revolves around the viewer, immersing them by reflecting the experiences onto them.
