Portable Observation frames Projection

This mapping exercise built upon the original photographic data by projecting imagery onto the Portable Observation Frame mapping prototype. This approach integrated all the techniques and methods from previous exercises, resulting in a prototype that combined physical interaction as a tangible artifact, such as like a landmark, with the dynamic storytelling capability of projection. The projected imagery not only conveyed narratives, but also emphasised details of place through framing and distortion, creating a multi-layered experience. While these mapping exercises explored ways to capture a sense of place, they revealed the challenge of creating a collective, shared space as individual perspectives and subjective experiences varied greatly.
