In addition to these printed emotion ‘petri dish’ maps, I generated a second layer for each map, using the same dichroic film I used in the liminal emotion maps. I cut the dichroic film to shape and attached it to a clear acrylic sheet of the same size to echo the original emotional petri dish map. By creating this secondary layer with the dichroic film, one could see the original base colour of the emotions, while at the same time the dichroic film allowed the map viewer to experience a shift of colour, a deeper and ever-changing layer of emotions unique to the viewer.
